Kokos ,Limeta i Sirup kolač -Coconut.Lime and Syrup Cake

Evo posle ozbiljnih tema da se malo zasladimo.
Ja najviše volim recepte 'korak po korak' , pa sam se potrudila da i moji takvi budu(kad imam vremena).
Ovaj kolač je zaista jednostavan a vrlo ukusan.

This cake is easy to make and very tasty.

Potrebno je:
370 gr putera
8 kašičica kore od limete
2 šolje šećera
6 jaja
2 šolje rendanog kokosa
3 1/2 šolje integralnog brašna
1 šolja nezaslađenog jogurta
Prstohvat soli
I kašičica vanile

Ingredients

370g butter
8 tsp lime rind
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
2 cups desiccated coconut
3 1/2 cups self raising flour
1 cup plain yogurt
Pinch salt 
1 t sp vanilla

Umuti puter,šećer,vanilu i rendanu koru limete dok dobije svetlu boju

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla and lime rind in mixer until pale in colour.

Dodaj jaja, jedno po jedno
Add the eggs one at a time.

Umešaj brašno,jogurt,so i rendani kokos ..rukama Fold in the yogurt, salt, coconut and flour with your clean hands.  



Stavi u okruglu tepsiju (papir za pečenje) i peci na 10 stepeni Celzija 60 do 70 minuta
Place in a lined spring form tin and bake on 170oC for 60-70 min



Pokri sa folijom kad dobije braon boju.Test sa žicom koja ako izadje čista ,kolač je gotov.
Izvadi iz rerne i ostavi da stoji 5 minuta

Cover with tin foil when it starts to brown. Skewer should come out clean.  

Take out of the oven and leave for 5 min.  

Dok se kolač hladi napravi sirup
Za sirup je potrebno
2 šolje šećera
2 šolje soka od limete
2/3 šolje vode
Sipaj  sve sastojke u šerpu i stavi da se prokuva..dok se šećer rastvori.Ostavi d akuvaj dok dobiješ sirup svetle boje.)oko 5 minuta

While the cake is cooling make the syrup.

Syrup

2 cups sugar
2 cups lime juice
2/3 cups water

Combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to boil to dissolve sugar.  Boil until a light syrup.  (About 5 min).

Žicom ili vrhom noža napravi rupe u kolaču pa u njih sipaj sirup.rasporedi količinu sa starne i po kolaču..ravnomerno

Poke a few holes in it and pour syrup over the entire cake. Try to get a lot around the sides as well as in the middle.
Ja dekorišem ovaj kolač sa proprženim kokosom i ušećenom
Namaz
1 belance
40 grama mekog putera
Sok 2 limuna
Šećer u prahu (oko 2 - 3 šolje)
Umuti belance i sok od limuna.Dodaj mek puter i miksaj.Postepeno dodaj šećer u prahu da dobiješ gustu masu .koja se može mazati 9oko 2 do 3 šolje zavisno od količine soka iz limuna)
Postaće  teže da se miksa.To je odlično za namazn i dekoraciju.Sa belancetom će se  odlično sčvrsnuti.Sad dodaj1 šolju rendanog ili mlevenog kokosa.(Namaz mora biti hladan)

I decorate this cake with icing with toasted coconut in it and candied peel.

Icing

1 egg white
40 g melted butter
Juice of 2 lemons
Icing sugar (roughly 2-3 cups)

Mix eggwhite and lemon juice together.  Add melted butter and whisk. Keep adding sifted icing sugar with a whisk so that it becomes thick and spreadable (about 2-3 cups, depending on how much juice you get out of the lemon).  It will become hard to whisk.  Great to pipe with and spread.  It will set nicely because of the egg white.  Now add 1 c of toasted coconut to this.  (Make sure it is cold!)  

Sipaj ovo na kolač(ja okrenem hladan kolač da dno bude gore; znam da tako profesionalcii rade daabi lepše,ravnije izgledao
Place on top of the cake (I turn the cooled cake over and use the bottom, it gives a flat professional look!).


Sad možemo praviti ušećerenu koru
Oljušti 2 pomorandže i 2 limuna.Onda ih iseci na uske rezance (julienne ),Stavi u šerpu sa 1/4 šolje šećera i pola šolje vode.

Then make the candied peel:

Candied peel

Peel 2 oranges and 2 lemons with a potato peeler.  Then cut into julienne (thin slices).  Put into a pot with ¼ c sugar and ½ c water.  
Pustio da vri dok tečnost ne ispari
Boil this mixture until the water evaporates.

Stavi sad koru (koja je gotova), na tanjir i pospi šećerom ; stavi da se suši na hladnom i suvom mestu.
Place peel (that is now cooked) onto a plate of sugar and coat.  Leave to dry in a cool dry place.
