Bolo de Rulao (Kolač od griza) * Semolina Cake

Ima zaista raznih kolača sa grizom. Budu posebno sočni i zato ih rado pravim. Evo jedne južnoameričke verzije.

Sastojci

1 šolja putera
1 šolja šećera u prahu
4 jaja, odvojena belanca i žumanca
2 šolje rendanog kokosa
2 šolje griza
1 kašičica praška za pecivo
1 kašičica ekstrakta od ruže ili badema
prstohvat soli





Priprema

Umešamo, griz, kokos, prašak za pecivo, i so i ostavimo sa strane
Umutimo puter i šećer u penastu masu. Dodajemo žumanca i mutimo dobro.


Dodamo u smesu sa grizom i izmešamo. Ako je potrebno, dodamo malo mleka.Testo treba da bude kao za palačinke ali gušće.
Dodamo ekstrakt.

Sada umutimo belanca u čvrst šne i dodamo u činiju sa ostalim sastojcima.
Sipamo u namašćen okrugao pleh i ostavimo u frižideru preko noći.



Pečemo u predgrejanoj rerni na 180 stepeni C, 35 minuta, dok kolač lepo ne porumeni.

Bolo de Rualo / Semolina Cake




There are many recipes for Semolina cake. We like it because its light and moist. This is South American version, which is very nice too.



Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar, powdered
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 2 cups coconut, grated
  • 2 cups semolina
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp rose/almond essence


Create


Mix the coconut, semolina, baking powder and salt and keep aside. Mix butter and sugar till fluffy.

Add the egg yolks to the mixture and beat again. Fold in the semolina mixture (add a little milk in case too stiff). It should be like a thick batter.

Add the essence. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into the mixture

Transfer the mixture into the prepared tin. Leave refrigerated, overnight.




Bake in a pre-heated oven (180 C-375 F) for about 35 minutes or till brown and cooked through.
